As a fan of Tristan Taormino’s work, including her Village Voice column, her most recent book on open relationships, and, of course, her book The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women, I am always interested in Tristan’s viewpoint and education. The DVD “Expert Guide to Oral Sex Part Two: Fellatio” did not let me down.
The DVD begins with Tristan giving a workshop to 10 women, some of who look like they might prefer to be in between the legs of a woman rather than a man. But when Tristan brings out Christian and Roxy to demonstrate some techniques all audience members are actively engaged. Occasionally the camera pans to the faces of women who are licking their lips, shifting their bodies forward, and gripping at their knees, suggesting that that would like a turn at Christian’s cock.
Previous to the live demo, Tristan discussed the male anatomy (circumcised and uncircumcised) and it’s arousal points using excellent illustrations. The body parts are then diagrammed on a still frame of Christian’s naked body in position to receive head from Roxy. After talking and demonstrating the four phases (except orgasm), Tristan opens up the floor for questions.
The DVD then becomes to a more traditional porn with scenes between three other men and women pairings. Kaiya and Alec focus on teasing, Lindsey and Marcos feature hand job techniques, and Adrianna and Alec show advanced skills such as deep throating and deep face thrusting. All givers communicate well with the receivers (“Is that the right pressure?” “Like that?”) and Tristan provides instructional voice-overs. Fun fellatio tips and reminders pop up on paused frames. This feature, which is reminiscent of the 90’s VHI’s Pop Up Video, was an added surprise and was helpful to note the benefits of certain positions or to note what the giver does when she needs a break. Also, the action can be viewed without the voice over and pop up instructions. I recommend watching Adrianna and Alec’s hot and sloppy deep throating without the tips and voice overs, her skills are something to aspire to.
The givers definitely run the show in this DVD — they take the cocks in as little or as much as they like. In standing shots, many of the men have their arms clasped behind them.
