A big smile came across my face when the opening sequence of Roller Dollz began. I love ladies roller derby so the idea of watching roller derby themed porn excited me. What first drew me to the Flexi Rod was the design, which reminds me of a riding crop — slender, flexible, and meant to be held in a specific manner. Upon opening the Flexi Rod, I tested out the 7 vibrating functions to find which one I liked best. By pressing the two buttons at the same time, the quick stop is enacted. Then when you press the button again, it starts back at the first vibrating option. After a few rounds the varying speeds and sensations started to blend together. I thought I would like the “pulse, pulse vibration” function, but settled on vibration #1 which vibrates at a fast and steady pace.

Later, when my partner and I were having sex, he reached for the Flexi Rod to use instead of a butt plug. Always one to be intrigued by new things with buttons; he went through all the settings before deciding I would like the first vibration the best. (I love it when he is on the money.) All lubed up and on my hands and knees he inserted the vibrating toy only a few inches inside. I love anal play and vibrators so I expected to be overwhelmed with arousal upon insertion. I wasn’t. A word of caution when using the toy as a probe only, take out the batteries so that you don’t have to worry about turning on the vibration. I was surprised by a jolt a few times and shifting to turn the mechanism back off disrupted the rhythm a bit.

I have a sense that I will eventually get into vibrating anal penetration, until then the Flexi Rod will be used vaginally or as a probe without vibration. It is also worth noting that the silicone used to make the toy is phthalates free. This is good news for everyone involved. There are many great features to this 9″ x 1.75″ wide dildo. And fear and screaming might be one of them. I admit, I was fearful of this toy.
