I was expecting a lot from the Remote Control Bullet. The 10 different pulsation patterns didn’t intrigue me as much as the remote control feature. The idea that my partner could control when I would got buzzed from as far away as 25 feet filled me with excitement. I started thinking about all the different scenarios we can use this toy.

I tested the vibe to make sure it worked. The pulsations felt good in my hand. The toy is made out of the same “touch coating” as my previously reviewed Mini Love Bullet, which is one of my favorite vibes. Like the Mini Bullet, the Remote Control Bullet is phthalates free and waterproof. Love that.

Once I inserted the Bullet, I handed the remote to my male case study. He likes things with buttons and immediately starting pushing the controller that varies the pulsations. The vibration is not terribly strong and did not jolt me with its power. This may or may not be a good thing for some people. I like a strong vibe for my clit, but prefer milder internal vibration stimulation.

Sure enough the remote control worked up to 25 feet away. The buzz traveled through rooms, closed doors, my jeans, and my panties. It is not completely silent, but only emits a low drone. If in a loud environment the toy would not be heard at all. I couldn’t distinguish between the pulsations patterns, but in the end it didn’t matter. I was more turned on by the control my case study had than the actual sensation of the Bullet. He had great timing of when to turn the Bullet on and off.

I was a little misled by the name of this product. I thought the Ultimate Stroker Beads would be a great male masturbator toy. As a fan of Tristan Taormino’s work, including her Village Voice column, her most recent book on open relationships, and, of course, her book The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women, I am always interested in Tristan’s viewpoint and education. The DVD “Expert Guide to Oral Sex Part Two: Fellatio” did not let me down.

The DVD begins with Tristan giving a workshop to 10 women, some of who look like they might prefer to be in between the legs of a woman rather than a man. But when Tristan brings out Christian and Roxy to demonstrate some techniques all audience members are actively engaged. Occasionally the camera pans to the faces of women who are licking their lips, shifting their bodies forward, and gripping at their knees, suggesting that that would like a turn at Christian’s cock.

Previous to the live demo, Tristan discussed the male anatomy (circumcised and uncircumcised) and it’s arousal points using excellent illustrations. The body parts are then diagrammed on a still frame of Christian’s naked body in position to receive head from Roxy. Having the key areas pinpointed makes it easy to be knowledgeable where the giver is focusing her attention. Like with all the couples preforming, Tristan begins by asking what Roxy and Christian enjoy about giving or receiving fellatio. While seated next to them on a long ottoman, Tristan talks through the phases of a good blow job that she organizes in these four stages: warm up, experiment, rhythm, and orgasm. It might seem clinical or odd to have someone giving instructions, but Tristan is casual in front of the camera and the couple is used to performing. After talking and demonstrating the four phases (except orgasm), Tristan opens up the floor for questions.

The DVD then becomes to a more traditional porn with scenes between three other men and women pairings. Kaiya and Alec focus on teasing, Lindsey and Marcos feature hand job techniques, and Adrianna and Alec show advanced skills such as deep throating and deep face thrusting. All givers communicate well with the receivers (“Is that the right pressure?” “Like that?”) and Tristan provides instructional voice-overs. Fun fellatio tips and reminders pop up on paused frames. This feature, which is reminiscent of the 90’s VHI’s Pop Up Video, was an added surprise and was helpful to note the benefits of certain positions or to note what the giver does when she needs a break. Also, the action can be viewed without the voice over and pop up instructions. I recommend watching Adrianna and Alec’s hot and sloppy deep throating without the tips and voice overs, her skills are something to aspire to.

The givers definitely run the show in this DVD — they take the cocks in as little or as much as they like. In standing shots, many of the men have their arms clasped behind them. What first drew me to the Flexi Rod was the design, which reminds me of a riding crop — slender, flexible, and meant to be held in a specific manner. Later, when my partner and I were having sex, he reached for the Flexi Rod to use instead of a butt plug. Always one to be intrigued by new things with buttons; he went through all the settings before deciding I would like the first vibration the best. (I love it when he is on the money.) I have a sense that I will eventually get into vibrating anal penetration, until then the Flexi Rod will be used vaginally or as a probe without vibration. The 2010 NYC Sex Blogger Calendar Release Party was a huge success. I do not have the numbers on money raised and calenders sold. I do know that the Fontana’s was packed.
