   i am shocked and intrigued…i want more ….more …more info about these parties! information beyond and in addition to the sexual interactions! i want to know about std’s and whether or not there is communication about them prior to entering the parties or if before you join in an orgy if you say “hey does anyone have chlamydia?” or is that completely inappropriate?
   also are most people on experience enhancing drugs or are the attendees so sexually confident that they do not need such alterations to let go?
   i have never been to a sex party and will probably never go! you are my eyes and ears into this secret land
   do tell!

   Thanks for your comments and questions, Brook.

   Unfortunately, there is no STI (sexually transmitted infection) screening for parties. It is not inappropriate to give a shot, “Hey. Does anyone have any STI’s?” before jumping into an orgy. But it rarely happens. I think most people assume that if one did have any STI they would lie about it when asked. At sex parties when I have inquired about recent STI test results or if they washed up after their last sexual interaction, people are honest and not bothered by the questions. However, it is generally me asking. I wish people would ask more.

   There is some drug use. Mostly people drink. I think regardless of ones sexual confidence people like to party. So people use whatever substance they would use when going out to a club, etc.

   I am very much enjoying this podcast. I thought you’d like to know that after listening to the second one, I hopped onto emusic and bought the Grand Old Party album. Great stuff!
